Across Asia, the games industry is growing rapidly — but each region faces its own unique mix of opportunities, challenges, cultural contexts, and ecosystem gaps. From indie communities and grassroots creator networks to established studios and international collaborations, the future of the industry will increasingly depend on how these ecosystems connect and grow together.

Bringing together industry leaders and community builders from Japan, Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Malaysia, this panel explores the evolving landscape of game development and creative ecosystems across the region. Speakers will share perspectives on talent development, indie sustainability, publishing and funding realities, community organizing, education pathways, and the role of local industry associations in shaping healthier, more connected ecosystems.

The conversation will also examine where meaningful regional collaboration can emerge — from cross-border partnerships and shared infrastructure to mentorship, incubation, and creative exchange. Through lived industry experiences and comparative regional insights, the panel invites audiences to explore how Asia’s diverse games communities can collectively strengthen the future of the creative and interactive media industries.
