Barcodes and QR codes are ubiquitous in our everyday lives, but have you ever imagined them as gameplay devices?
At the National University of Singapore's Interactive Materials Lab, a research outfit pushing the boundaries of tangible interaction design and computational making, Dr. Clement Zheng is applying his research into creating low-cost, scalable, impactful, interactive experiences.
This workshop features Go Packin', a simple game powered by generative AI and QR codes, and its application and reach through the Red Cross. After a case study and hands-on experience, participants will roll up their sleeves and get imagining their own QR-based games!
